Harbour loft has a westerly aspect with
views to the breakwater and Atlantic,
and enjoys beautiful sunsets.
It overlooks the small cottage sea-garden, the downs and the coastal path.
Harbour loft is an integral part of West Cottage, which was built in 1820 by Sir Thomas Acland, a wealthy landowner and MP. The cottage remained with the family until 1996.
Sir Thomas was involved in much of the early development of Bude, including the construction of the Breakwater, Sea Lock and Canal.
